Summary

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. For example, applicants for the Senior HCA role must be able to evidence a minimum of 2 years experience in the same role to qualify for sponsorship. If you are applying using a Graduate visa as your right to work, you must have a minimum of 18 months remaining on your visa at time of application. The post holder will coordinate and deliver clinical governance and patient safety activity within Radiology at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant imaging services across sites. Working closely and professionally with clinical teams, the role supports consistency, assurance, and learning across a large and varied radiology service. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient safety investigations, supporting staff through investigation processes, monitoring actions, and ensuring learning is captured and shared. The post holder will support radiation safety and IR(ME)R compliance, including coordination of radiation incidents, oversight of nonmedical referrer processes, and maintenance of accurate governance records. The role contributes to service improvement through risk management, audit support, and involvement in complaints, PALS enquiries, and other patient feedback processes. Use of data and shared learning across sites helps identify trends, reduce repeat incidents, and improve patient experience. The post holder will work with a wide range of colleagues, including radiographers, radiologists, medical physics, and Trust governance teams. There is also an opportunity to undertake a limited amount of clinical work in line with professional registration, individual competence, and service needs, supporting clinical credibility and insight into practice.
