Summary
Management and Leadership Identifies need for change and supports management of change, including service development Negotiation and influencing skills Leads specialist area or team Clinical Responsibilities Demonstrates skills for assessing and interpreting complex needs of patients/clients Plans provision of care for patients/clients, e.g. clinics, health education The Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, treat and discharge adult patients ensuring appropriate advice, health education and referral to appropriate community services To make autonomous decisions regarding admitting or discharging patients within agreed protocols and arranging outpatient appointments for those being discharged under nurse-led protocols Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates complex clinical care of patients/clients; Provides specialist advice to patients/clients/carers in relation programmes of care which may be complex.
