As a Procurement Specialist, your role is to identify cutting-edge products and services that exceed client expectations, secure the most competitive agreements, and ensure a seamless supply chain. You will manage the entire procurement cycle from beginning to end, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery at every stage. From managing tenders and negotiating supplier terms to maintaining accurate product data and driving supply chain efficiency—you’ll be at the heart of it all.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and procure products and manage high-value tenders within strict deadlines.
- Carry out regular performance reviews with suppliers.
- Establish and track KPIs, evaluate performance against agreed SLAs, and negotiate favourable terms to improve cost efficiency and service quality.
- Assist Business Development Managers and Account Managers with new customer onboarding and applications as required.
- Maintain accurate product catalogues and ensure efficient order processing.
- Handle invoice discrepancies and manage product returns promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and coordinate timely deliveries from assigned suppliers, ensuring internal systems are kept up to date to reflect service levels and stock availability.
Candidate Attributes:
- Proven procurement experience
- Exceptional negotiation and pricing analysis skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure with enthusiasm and self-motivation.
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach
- CIPS qualification (desirable, not essential).
