Summary

PLAY LEADER (EARLY YEARS QUALIFICATION – LEVEL 3 REQUIRED)

Holiday Club Early Years Play Leader (3–4 Year Olds)

Fun Fest Amersham – Woodside Junior School
£13.68 - £15.00 per hour
School holidays only | Flexible shifts

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a qualified Early Years practitioner (Level 3 or above) to lead our 3–4 year old age group at our friendly, well-established holiday club in Amersham.

This is holiday-only work — ideal if you work term-time in a nursery, preschool or school and would like paid work during school holidays without paperwork or management responsibilities.

You will be supported by play workers, a hands-on owner, and follow pre-planned activities provided by the Fun Fest programme.

SHIFTS (CHOOSE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU)

Morning shift: approx. 8:00am – 1:00pm
Afternoon shift: approx. 12:30pm – 6:00pm
Opportunity to work 2–5 days per week
Returning work available every half term & summer holidays
(We do NOT expect anyone to work 7:30am–6:00pm.)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Leading fun, age-appropriate activities for children aged 3–4
Ensuring children are safe, happy and engaged
Supporting children with personal care where needed
Working as part of a small, friendly team
Talking to parents briefly at drop-off and pick-up
No planning. No observations. No paperwork.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ)

Applicants must:

Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above recognised by Ofsted
Have experience working with children aged 3–4
Be reliable, warm, and confident leading a small group
Be willing to complete / hold Paediatric First Aid (support provided)
Applications without a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification will not be considered.

WHY WORK WITH US?

Supportive, approachable owner on site
Calm, structured environment (not a nursery day!)
Returning holiday work — no “one-off” shifts
Fun, well-resourced activities
A genuinely lovely group of families
We are committed to safeguarding; all staff will be required to have a DBS check and references before starting.

Specific Fun Fest Holiday Club training will be provided to successful candidates.
