Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8 Senior Psychologist post across HMPPS Psychology Services for the Youth Custody Service. Successful applicants will work closely with all partners within YCS to promote the safety and safeguarding of children in our care and provide a safe working environment for all. This includes the ongoing implementation or various projects to promote a safer environment by meeting the needs of all children in our care. Successful applicants would preferably be based in one of the YCS sites but be willing and able to travel across England and Wales to enable effective partner engagement. Experience of working with children in custody is desirable although not essential and full training and support will be provided. All interested parties are therefore encouraged to apply or contact ycs.psychology@justice.gov.uk for an informal discussion.
