Join our advanced Cardiac Physiology team at Dorset County Hospital and help shape the future of cardiac care. We have two newly created positions supporting CRM and Echocardiography services as we expand into Community Diagnostic Centres.
We’re looking for an innovative, enthusiastic healthcare scientist with expertise in Echocardiography and a strong team-working ethos. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Cardiac Physiology leadership team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care and contribute to service development.

In this highly specialist clinical role you will be expected to provide advanced clinical care in Echocardiography with exposure to physiology-led Echo clinics and advanced stress echo/contrast/bubble studies.
Applicants must have BSE Level 2 TTE accreditation/EACVI Echo accreditations (or be working towards completing your logbook).
As a highly specialist cardiac physiologist, you will be expected to oversee the day-to-day clinical aspects of patient care within the main hospital in Dorchester and off-site in Community Diagnostic Hubs located around West Dorset.
Beyond the clinical duties you will also be responsible for the daily operational demands of the service, supervising and supporting junior staff, developing educational programmes, training and competency assessment, SoPs and clinical guidelines. You will work under the in-house leadership team but be expected to deputise for the Lead of Echo during periods of absence.
