About the Role

Make a difference every day at Spring Meadow!

Care Workers at Level 3 are required to support Care Worker level 2s and 1s to provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working collaboratively, and creating meaningful experiences for the people we support.

Care Workers provide safe and appropriate personalised support to citizens according to their assessed needs. This includes writing and maintaining individual person centred care plans and completing assessments and regular reviews. They are also expected to plan, organise and facilitate individual or group activities / interventions in order to support citizens to maximise independence and confidence, as appropriate.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to assess social care and health needs and develop, implement, maintain and update Person Centred Care Plans, and effective administrative skills and ability to utilise and update various manual and IT systems, analysing and using data effectively

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including facilitating reviews, engagement, report writing, maintaining good quality records, letters, difficult conversations etc.) Awareness of Health & Safety requirements relevant to the post and completion of risk assessments as required.

• Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

• Good numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to Level 1 literacy Skills (Qualifications and Credit Framework) or equivalent qualification

• NVQ/ QCF 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this.

- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
