- Provide one-to-one and small-group SEMH support to pupils
- Assist teachers in delivering adapted, accessible learning activities
- Implement personalised behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Promote positive communication, confidence, and independence
- Support pupils in de-escalating and managing challenging behaviours in line with school policies
- Encourage participation, self-esteem, and constructive peer interactions
- Monitor pupil progress and share observations with staff
- Contribute to the wider school environment during longer-term placements
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Understanding of behaviour management, trauma-informed practice, and de-escalation techniques
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
- Adaptable across different classrooms and key stages
- Professional, reliable, and proactive in supporting learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
