Summary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED This is a non-training grade Trust Doctor Post, which has been established to provide the opportunity for an individual to gain post-CCT specialist training in Urology with excellent training to develop knowledge and further experience. The main purpose for the post is to further develop Urological skills whilst supporting Service Delivery. Candidates Must hold FRCS (Urol) or equivalent. Be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice Should have evidence of achievement CCT in Urology or within 6 months of doing so. Be eligible to work in the UK Have previous experience at registrar level in Urology Demonstrate the ability to operate effectively under pressure & remain objective in highly emotive/pressurised situations Be aware of their own limitations & when to ask for help Have the capacity to communicate effectively & sensitively with others Be able to discuss treatment options with patients in a way they can understand Have the capacity to bring a range of approaches to problem solving Demonstrate effective judgement and decision-making skills Have the capacity to work effectively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team Have the capacity to establish good working relations with others Have the capacity to manage time and prioritise workload, balance urgent & important demands, follow instructions Take responsibility for own actions Demonstrates awareness of ethical principles, safety, confidentiality & consent.
