Summary
Resourcing are excited to be working with our client in Peterborough PE1 who are seeking a Accounts Assistant to join their busy team.
About the Role - its office based.
You will manage all day-to-day financial processes within the lettings department, including tenant payments and landlord payouts. You’ll ensure rent is correctly recorded, allocated on time, and landlords receive accurate payments.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 14:00 - Can be flexible
About You
• Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience (property/lettings sector preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with property management or lettings software (e.g., SFP) is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive and record rent payments via bank transfers, standing orders, and online payments.
• Allocate tenant payments to the correct property and tenancy.
• Chase or flag missing or late rent payments in line with company procedures.
• Prepare and process landlord statements and payments (weekly/monthly).
• Ensure landlord balances are accurate and up to date.
• Raise invoices for lettings fees and contractor costs.
• Record and track contractor invoices and deduct appropriately from landlord funds.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audits when needed.
• Work closely with the lettings team, property managers, landlords, and tenants to resolve queries.
