Summary
Nellie’s Complex Care Ltd is seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to provide one-to-one support to children with complex healthcare needs in their homes and community settings.
The role involves assisting children with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and daily routines, in line with individual care plans. Healthcare Assistants will support children to attend school, holidays, appointments, activities, and community outings, promoting independence, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Duties include providing emotional support and companionship, assisting with medication administration or reminders and basic health monitoring following training, and maintaining accurate care records using IT systems. Effective communication with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team is essential to ensure safe and consistent care delivery.
Healthcare Assistants must adhere to safeguarding requirements, health and safety regulations, and infection control procedures at all times. The role includes working day shifts and/or waking night shifts as required.
Previous experience in care or working with children is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. A compassionate and professional approach is essential. A full UK driving licence and DBS registration on the Update Service are desirable.
