Summary
The Street Cleansing Service is looking to recruit a multi-functional Street-care Operative to work across all areas of the City. They will help to transform and improve the cleanliness and environmental standards of the City to meet the aspirations of its communities.
It is essential that you have experience of working in an environmental field in an outdoor environment.
Experience of undertaking manual sweeping, de-littering and emptying of litter bins would be desirable.
You must be able to deal with difficult situation involving members of the public.
You will need to undertake duties that include bending, lifting, pushing and walking long distances.
The hours of work are from 6a.m. to 6p.m. on a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. (44 hours per shift). Enhancements are paid for working weekends and bank holidays.
