Summary

Advanced Practitioner Sonographer - £48,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + uncapped bonus – Leicester

Tired of limited pay and rigid hospital shifts? Want to take control of your schedule, boost your income, and use your skills where they’re truly valued?

At Diagnostic World, we give experienced sonographers like you the freedom to work independently in community clinics — delivering faster answers to patients, while growing your earnings and your career.

The Role

This full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) is based in Leicester and pays up to £60,000 depending on experience — plus uncapped earning potential. The more you scan, the more you earn. Simple.

You’ll work in well-equipped community settings, performing a wide range of scans that make a real difference to patients who can’t wait weeks for answers.

You’ll be scanning across:

• General abdominal
• Gynae and pelvic
• Small parts
• Vascular and MSK
• Early pregnancy (if trained)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out ultrasound scans independently to a high standard
• Write clear, actionable reports for each scan
• Escalate findings quickly when needed
• Take part in audit, feedback and improving how we work
• Help train new colleagues or offer second opinions when needed
• Look after your equipment and stay clinically up to date

About Our Company

We’re not another agency. Diagnostic World is a trusted clinical provider working directly with NHS and private healthcare teams. Our goal is to take pressure off overstretched services by offering fast, expert ultrasound care in the community — without compromising on quality or patient care.

The Benefits

• 33 days paid leave (including bank holidays), rising with time
• Free scans and support services for you and your household
• Mental health, wellbeing and financial help when you need it
• Relocation support (terms apply)
• Regular CPD and room to grow professionally

The Person

You're right for this if you:

• Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
• Are HCPC registered
• Have at least 3 years' post-qualification experience
• Can scan and report independently
• Work well on your own and with others
• Want more freedom and better rewards for your skills
