Summary

Administrator / Customer Service Representative

Plymouth | £12.60 per hour | Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm | Temporary

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Administrator / Customer Service Representative to join a busy and friendly team based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who is looking to develop new skills and gain experience.

This role also offers a great entry point into the healthcare industry for candidates interested in building a long-term career in this sector.

All successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check before an offer of employment is made.

Key Duties
  • Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, webchat, social media, and in person.

  • Provide administrative support to management, colleagues, and clients as required.

  • Build positive client relationships and carry out general office duties, including answering calls, organising files, drafting correspondence, and scheduling meetings.

  • Maintain accurate records and update databases.

  • Develop and maintain a procedural manual for the role.

  • Track key deadlines and ensure smooth coordination across departments.

  • Deal effectively with enquiries in person and over the telephone.

  • Train other members of staff via Teams on the Modus system.

  • Allocate training to self-employed staff.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in both customer service and administrative support is essential.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Experience designing, maintaining, and developing administrative systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and achieve daily targets.

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to multitask effectively.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
