Summary

The Director of Planning & Performance is a senior leadership role, responsible for translating the University’s strategy into measurable plans, supported by robust data, management information, and performance frameworks. You will also be responsible for translating portfolio plans across the University into measurable performance metrics. You will bring strong analytical insight, strategic foresight, and excellent stakeholder engagement to enable evidence-based decision-making and help the institution anticipate and respond to an evolving external environment.

This role leads the Planning and Performance Directorate, embedding a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, by providing leadership in the coordination and effective use of institutional data and performance information. This role is responsible for overseeing Statutory Reporting requirements, and ensuring relevant data is drawn together (such as student number planning, module and course evaluations, NSS, HEBCI, PTES and PRES results, Research Excellence Framework data) and other information to support consistent, insight-led decision-making and clear accountability for performance across the University. This includes the continued development of institutional planning, performance, and data frameworks fit for the University’s next phase of growth and change.

Based at Pontypridd, with the occasional requirement to travel, this role will provide you with an opportunity to utilise your strategic leadership, analytical, and planning skills to drive institutional performance and transformation. This is a full time, permanent post.
