Are you an experienced equine professional with a passion for coaching and developing the next generation of riders?

We are excited to be introducing a brand-new Equine Instructor role to our department, a role created to strengthen our practical teaching offer and enhance the experience of students preparing for their BHS Care and Ride assessments.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and grow our equine provision as part of a forward-thinking, student-centred team.

Easton College is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Equine Instructor to deliver high quality practical coaching, ride and school a range of horses, and help maintain excellent standards across our BHS approved equine centre.

About the Role

As our new Equine Instructor, you will:

• Deliver engaging, well structured riding and stable management coaching sessions aligned to curriculum and BHS requirements.
• Plan your own sessions to ensure clear progression towards BHS Stage assessments.
• Provide constructive coaching to build students’ skills, confidence, and industry readiness.
• Ride, school, and exercise college horses to maintain their suitability for ridden use.
• Support practical, yard based learning and demonstrate key industry skills.
• Contribute to horse welfare monitoring and maintain high standards of care across the centre.
• Assist with maintaining arenas, stables, paddocks, and equipment.
• Take part in events, competitions, open days, and commercial activities.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:
• A Level 3 equine qualification.
• A BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship.
• Strong, proven riding ability with experience across disciplines.
• Previous experience in a professional equine environment.
• Excellent knowledge of equine welfare and stable management.
• Confident coaching and communication skills.
• A flexible, proactive, student focused approach.
• A full driving licence and the ability to work evenings/weekends/on call as required.

Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
