Summary
You will act as a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, managing student cases and working with external agencies to ensure timely, appropriate support. You’ll provide one-to-one guidance, respond to crisis situations, and work closely with Student Mentors, colleagues, parents and carers to remove barriers to learning. You’ll also deliver safeguarding training and awareness sessions, contribute to college initiatives and events, and lead on a specialist safeguarding theme to help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
About You
A good working knowledge of current legislation affecting students, including wellbeing, substance misuse, sexual harassment, equality and disability.
Experience of working with young people in a supportive or safeguarding-focused role.
GSCP Safeguarding Level 3 (Understanding Child Protection), or a willingness to complete this qualification.
