Passenger Transport – Passenger Vehicle Driver

Are you in search of a truly fulfilling role? Here's your chance! Join our Passenger Transport service and play a critical role in ensuring that vulnerable children in Wiltshire receive the education they rightfully deserve.

As a Passenger Vehicle Driver, you will transport passengers between home and their destination in relation to external visits and other journeys as directed. You'll be responsible for the safety of the vehicle and passengers, collaborating closely with any accompanying Passenger Assistants.

A relevant and clean driving license is a must, along with some basic know-how on vehicle maintenance. You'll need to master the use of harness equipment tailored for individual clients on the vehicle. But don't worry, we provide mandatory training in handling this equipment, ensuring you're well prepared to transport students with Special Educational Needs, including those with medical conditions.

Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos. That’s why we focus on getting the things that matter to our people right.
