Summary

SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply across Stockport and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for teaching assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Support students with a range of special educational needs in mainstream secondary classrooms
• Assist with differentiated learning activities and individual support plans
• Promote inclusion and encourage independence in learning
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support
• Help manage behaviour and create a calm, safe learning environment
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Experience supporting students with SEND in secondary schools
• Understanding of a range of learning needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Patience, resilience and a proactive approach to learning support
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
