Role Summary
As a Pharmacist at Gate2Pharma, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective medication services and trusted healthcare advice. You will ensure all pharmacy operations meet regulatory
standards, provide expert guidance to patients, and support clinical and dispensing services aligned with NHS initiatives. This position demands high professional standards, strong patient-focused care, excellent communication skills, and strict adherence to UK pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
Dispense and supply NHS and private prescriptions accurately and safely.
Provide expert advice on medicines, including correct dosages, side effects, interactions and safe use.
Engage with patients to assess their health needs and recommend appropriate Pharmacy First services where applicable.
Conduct clinical services such as contraception support, repeat medication reviews and healthy living advice.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure pharmacy practices comply fully with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards and all legal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of dispensing, patient interactions, controlled drug logs and other mandatory documentation.
Support quality assurance and audit processes to continually improve pharmacy services.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with pharmacy support staff, ensuring tasks are delegated appropriately and work is completed to professional standards.
Participate in team training, mentoring and performance support to uphold service excellence.
Customer Service
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with clear communication and empathy.
Address patient queries and concerns promptly, offering accurate and reliable guidance.
Promote Gate2Pharma services to help increase patient engagement and support digital prescription processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Essential
Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (UK registration).
Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree or equivalent recognised UK qualification.
Proven experience in a community or clinical pharmacy environment.
Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Good organisational and time-management abilities with a problem-solving mindset.
Desirable
Experience with NHS services such as Pharmacy First, repeat prescriptions.
Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing software and online prescription systems.
