Summary
The key aims of this role are:
• Inventory & Stock Control
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, technical components, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and full stocktakes.
• Record all stock movements using inventory management systems
• Ensure parts and consumables are correctly labelled, stored, and organised.
• Make sure there is suitable stock levels in time for any known periods of planned outage.
Technical Support
• Identify, classify, and catalogue technical parts and equipment.
• Assist technicians, engineers, and maintenance teams by locating and preparing required materials.
• Interpret technical drawings, parts manuals, and equipment documentation when issuing inventory.
Store Operations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant store(s) area.
• Prepare and dispatch orders and materials according to operational needs.
• Monitor stock usage trends and report low or critical stock levels.
• Manage returns, repairs, and warranty items with suppliers.
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ensure hazardous materials are stored, labelled, and handled in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in maintaining documentation for audits and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications/Skills:
Essential
• Experience in a technical or industrial stores environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial components
• Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and parts diagrams.
• Cat B driving license (able to drive a medium sized van).
• Forklift license
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
• Knowledge of procurement processes
