Workshop Engineer - Specialist Lifting Equipment

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30

Are you an engineer looking to join a market-leading specialist in restricted-access lifting machinery. We are seeking a motivated Workshop Engineer to focus on the installation, calibration, and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of high-end lifting equipment.

This is a workshop-based role within a clean, efficient environment, perfect for a professional who takes pride in high-standard machinery preparation.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring every piece of equipment meets rigorous safety and performance standards before it reaches the customer. Key duties include:

  • Installation & Calibration: Fitting advanced safety systems and calibrating crane specifications.

  • Testing & Inspection: Conducting thorough PDIs on incoming and outgoing machinery.

  • Maintenance & Repair: Fault finding, diagnosing defects, and refurbishing older units.

  • Technical Support: Providing remote diagnostic support to field engineers and assisting the R&D department.

  • Training Support: Assisting the training team in delivering technical instruction to customers and dealers.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude. We are specifically looking for:

  • Technical Background: Level 2 or 3 Engineering qualification.

  • Electrical Expertise: Experience with 12/24v DC automotive or plant-type systems. Knowledge of CAN bus systems is a distinct advantage.

  • Precision: The ability to follow complex electrical and hydraulic diagrams accurately.

  • Problem Solver: Proven ability in fault-finding and diagnosis.
