Cardio-Respiratory Support Worker - Band 3
32 hours per week - Permanent
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Cardio Respiratory Investigations (CRI) team.
The Cardio-Respiratory Support Worker will play a key role as part of the CRI multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality administrative and some clinical support to ensure patients and their relatives experience a seamless, coordinated, and positive journey through the department.
Applicants should be excellent communicators, have the ability to deal with the general public on a daily basis and have a positive approach to patient care. It is essential that applicants have a good standard of IT skills and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the CRI team.
• Act as the first point of contact for departmental queries via phone, email, or face-to-face.
• Ensure a smooth, well-organized reception service to support patient flow and departmental operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate administrative processes to support clinical staff.
• (Optional/Developmental) — Following appropriate training, assist with basic clinical procedures such as:• Recording and recognizing normal/abnormal electrocardiograms (ECGs).
• Fitting blood pressure and Holter monitors.

• Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
