Summary
Do you have proven experience in reward and benefits management ideally within a healthcare or complex multi-site organisation? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as a Rewards & Benefits Business Partner.
Reporting to the Head of Rewards & Benefits, you will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and delivering our total reward strategy. Acting as a trusted advisor to HR leaders and senior stakeholders, you will ensure our reward and benefits programmes remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with our commitment to attracting, engaging, and retaining exceptional talent. You will provide expert guidance on compensation and benefits matters, manage annual reward cycles with precision, and oversee the frameworks that support our employee benefits offering.
This is a role with significant impact, contributing to strategic projects, vendor and supplier partnerships, and continuous improvement across all areas of reward. You will help shape clear, meaningful communications that ensure colleagues understand and value the benefits available to them, while balancing cost control with the need to deliver enhanced employee value. Your work will directly support the motivation and retention of our workforce, empowering them to deliver high‑quality healthcare services every day.
If you’re driven by purpose, excited by the opportunity to influence organisation‑wide reward strategies and want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about its people, we’d love to hear from you and welcome your expertise to Elysium.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support & Advisory:
Provide expert guidance on reward strategy by partnering with the Head of Rewards & Benefits, advising senior leaders, analysing market trends, and ensuring reward approaches remain competitive, cost‑effective, and aligned with business objectives.
Reward Program Management:
Support the design, review, and implementation of reward frameworks - including salary structures, bonus schemes, and recognition programmes - while managing annual reward cycles to ensure fairness and compliance. Provide guidance to line managers on job descriptions, lead job evaluation panels to maintain consistency, and conduct salary benchmarking for newly evaluated roles.
Benefits Oversight:
Oversee and optimise employee benefits programmes to ensure they remain competitive and cost‑effective, while managing relationships with external providers and monitoring service delivery.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyse reward and benefits data to provide benchmarking insights, produce clear reports and dashboards for senior leaders, and support statutory reporting such as annual Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap submissions.
Compliance & Governance:
Support the development of robust reward and benefits policies, ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate documentation to meet audit and governance standards.
Employee Engagement & Communication:
Develop clear, engaging communications that help colleagues understand and value their reward and benefits offering. Support employee queries, contribute to awareness initiatives, and help strengthen the overall employee experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Reward & Benefits Expertise: Proven experience in reward and benefits management within healthcare or a complex multi‑site organisation, with strong knowledge of compensation structures, benefits programmes, total reward strategies, and pay equity principles.
Benchmarking, Job Evaluation & Market Insight: Experience in compensation benchmarking, interpreting market data, and using job evaluation frameworks (i.e. WTW, Mercer), with an understanding of external data sources and evaluation methodologies.
Reward Cycle & Benefits Delivery: Hands‑on experience managing annual reward cycles, including salary reviews, bonus schemes, and benefits renewals, as well as negotiating with benefits providers and managing service‑level agreements.
Systems & Technical Capability: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (i.e. Workday, Unit4), payroll systems, and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) with the ability to analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK employment law, tax regulations, pension schemes, salary sacrifice arrangements, and compliance requirements relating to pay and benefits.
Communication & Stakeholder Support: Ability to simplify complex reward concepts into clear, employee‑friendly language, with experience resolving complex issues, managing escalations, and driving process improvements.
