Summary


ResuscitationServicesarelookingfor friendlyandhighlymotivatedteammemberstojointhemas ClinicalResuscitationOfficers. The team strives to empower, develop and support our clinical workforce to deliver the safest care inemergenciesand efforts to prevent them. This is a busy department, where commitment, motivation and openness to learning are essentialelementsoftherole.

Withastrongemphasisondeliveryoftraining,keygoalsincludetheprovisionofawiderangeofResuscitation Council(UK) course tothe Trust’s large clinical workforce, including its tertiary cardiac centre. Courses include adult,paediatric and neo-natal based competencies at all levels from basic to advanced, andwe are also a centre which delivers the Generic Instructor Course.The successful candidate will be expected to engage across a wide range ofthesecoursesandalsosupportnewwaysofthinkingtoensurewemeetourchallenges. Alongside the training provision, the role includes clinical responses to emergencies, ensuring emergency readiness with essential equipment, and supporting the trust patient safety initiatives.



The team supports urgentcalls and 2222 calls, includingmedicalemergency,cardiacarrest and massivehaemorrhage.It providesadvice and guidance, alongside audit and standardsetting for the safe delivery of resuscitation services and skills across the Trust and works with its partnered teams to support initiatives aimedat recognisingandrespondingto acutedeterioration. This directlycontributesto the reductionof cardiacarrestsandkey elementsof theTrust’sclinicalstrategy.



Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
