Biodiversity Officer needed in Bradford Paying £17.85 per hr ref 5288576

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of biodiversity action plans and nature recovery initiatives.
Provide expert ecological and biodiversity advice on planning applications, environmental assessments, and land management proposals.
Identify, map, and assess habitats and priority species, ensuring compliance with biodiversity legislation and policy frameworks.
Work collaboratively with landowners, community groups, environmental organisations, and statutory agencies to deliver biodiversity improvements.
Support and deliver habitat restoration and creation projects across a range of landscapes.
Monitor local biodiversity trends and maintain accurate ecological data and GIS mapping records.
Prepare technical reports, guidance documents, and briefing notes for senior officers and stakeholders.
Increase public awareness of biodiversity through community engagement, events, and educational activities.
Contribute to the development of corporate policies supporting climate resilience, sustainability, and environmental enhancement.
