Summary


Interview will be held on 20th Feb 2026

Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant with the Learning Disability Team based at Erlegh house, University of Reading and working in the community. This is a part time role, 17 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working pattern negotiable.


You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is passionate about improving the health and lifestyles of people with disabilities.


Your role will be to assist the physiotherapist in delivering treatment programmes devised to improve and maintain the health and physical abilities of our clients. The ideal candidate will be caring, empathetic and confident to work in a practical role working directly with clients.

• To carry out treatment & exercise programmes under the supervision of a physiotherapist, informing the physiotherapist of the patient’s response and planning and implementation of ongoing care with supervision.

• To be able to motivate and encourage patients through effective communication skills.

• To liaise and work jointly with the Physiotherapist and other professionals in the team as required to meet the clients’ overall health needs
