Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons.
You will be responsible for planning lessons, evaluating student performance, and promoting a positive learning environment.
Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the English Curriculum, and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for English language/literature classes
- Teach students the full breadth of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate with parents or guardians about student performance and behaviour
- Participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques
- Implement strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification
- Proven experience as an English teacher (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of a variety of teaching methods and detailed subject knowledge
- Strong organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with classroom technology and digital teaching resources
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
- Patience and flexibility to accommodate students of different skill levels
