The Resource Centre delivers day opportunities, activities and personalised support to help residents live fulfilling lives within their community.

The Role
The Support Assistant will work directly with adults who access the Resource Centre, helping them participate in activities, maintain independence and receive high‑quality, person‑centred support. You will assist with daily routines, provide practical and emotional support, and contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support adults attending the Resource Centre with day‑to‑day activities

Promote independence, choice and wellbeing in line with personalised support plans

Assist with group sessions, individual activities and community engagement

Build positive, respectful relationships with service users, carers and colleagues

Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met at all times

Support with mobility, communication and personal needs where appropriate

Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and planning

Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment

Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service

Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting adults in a social care, community or day‑service setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative

Reliable, compassionate and committed to person‑centred care

Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

Ability to adapt to changing needs within the service
