Summary

Bespoke Kitchen and Joinery Sales Designer | Chiswick, West London | Full Time | Working hours Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm | £35,000 Base Salary (OTE £50,000 with Bonus)

At the cutting-edge of modern British design, our client has a very strong brand, excellent image, reputation, and online profile. They supply interior designers, developers, contractors, architects, and discerning private clients with kitchens, joinery, and cabinetry.

The design team is based between their workshop in Buckinghamshire, near Amersham, and their showhome studio in Chiswick, West London. The close collaboration between design and production is one of their unique selling points.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with bespoke joinery, kitchens, or in a furniture design role,
• A Furniture Design Degree or similar is desirable.
• Experience with the following software packages is desirable: a 3D design software such as SolidWorks or SketchUp, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
• A thorough approach and attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Positive working attitude with a willingness to learn and continually develop skills
• Passionate about design

What will your role look like?

• Work as part of a team of 5x sales and concept designers
• Qualify new leads, convert prospects to opportunities, and manage the sales process according to the sales process
• Produce concept visuals, presentations, and/or drawings for the client’s approval for kitchen & joinery interiors
• Conduct initial site surveys and liaise with site contacts
• Specify appliances and hardware using industry knowledge
• Produce and update detailed client quotations using our proprietary software, outlining all relevant costs included in a kitchen & joinery package
• Specify materials, arrange samples and compose finishes palettes, often liaising with interior designers
• Hold client meetings, often involving clients’ builders and architects
• Communicate with suppliers such as worktop and metal fabricators to cost and detail specialist design elements
• Work with the in-house technical design team to develop the full drawing pack
• Ensure deadlines are met, and designs are produced efficiently
