Location: Cumbernauld, Scotland
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
You will play a key role in the launch of a brand-new Scottish depot for a global logistics organisation. As an experienced Transport Planner, you'll have a real opportunity to influence processes from the start, helping to shape how the depot operates while ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport planning.
This is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy building something new, taking ownership, and working in a fast-paced transport environment.
What you'll be doing-
Planning and scheduling transport operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries

Optimising routes and loads to maximise efficiency and minimise costs

Coordinating with drivers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations

Monitoring driver hours and ensuring compliance with transport legislation

Responding to operational issues and resolving problems quickly and effectively

Supporting the setup and development of transport processes in a new depot environment

Proven experience as a Transport Planner (essential)

Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and driver hours

Ability to plan efficiently in a high-volume, time-critical environment

Confident communicator with strong organisational skills

Comfortable working with transport planning systems and IT tools

Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work independently
