Summary
The IMT3+ post will predominantly involve daytime work on the Cardiology wards, including CCU, with some weekend daytime working to cover the Cardiology out-of-hours rota. Rotas are all DRS4 compliant. Cardiology clinic, imaging and procedural experience is also available to the suitable candidate. Post holders are entitled to 5 days study leave per 6 months and can attend trust teaching appropriate to their grade (co-ordinated a department ensuring adequate ward staffing cover). We are determined to support successful applicants with career progression and actively encourage and support involvement in Quality Improvement, learning and exam/interview preparation. Although this is not an approved training post, the successful candidate will be allocated an educational supervisor and will be supported to complete work-based assessments matched to Cardiology Registrar curriculum competencies. The post holder will be encouraged to attend appropriate teaching sessions within the Trust, including the potential of sub-specialist exposure to support career progression and applications to training programmes.
