Summary

I am Patricia Eagling the Internal Recruiter for Home Instead, Welwyn & Hatfield office and are now seeking new people who are interested in commencing a career working in Adult Care.

We do require all of our care professionals to have a UK licence and their own car and this is because we are community based, visiting clients in their own homes and travelling between clients daily. We also ferry clients to appointments, shopping and social events, making a car essential.

We have an accelerated onboarding programme to help you get started as soon as possible. On a successful interview you will leave with a job offer and a set induction date. We do not have set shifts we try to work with our staff's availability, but a requirement is all staff work their agreed hours on alternate weekends, mandatory. This tends to work very well for people with family commitments as it enables you to work but without the stress of deadlines.

Care Assistant Responsibilities include:

* Personal Care - Assistance with bathing and dressing.
* Light Home Help - ensuring areas are clear after activities or meal preparation.
* Companionship - building relationships and spending time in important activities.
* Medication - ensure our clients stay on track with their medication.
* Meal Preparation - Create nutritious meals for the clients enjoyment.

Care Assistant Requirements:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent timekeeper who is organised and reliable.
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle - essential.
* Right to Work in the UK.
* Happy to work on alternate weekends.
