Summary
Due to expansion, we are actively recruiting Service Engineers to join our aluminium specialist glazing, maintenance company, to work within London M25, Essex and surrounding areas.
Ideal candidates would possess previous installation experience, although we will consider candidates from other similar trades. Typical duties include carrying out annual servicing, repairs and maintenance to aluminium glazed systems, including windows, doors, and curtain walling.
Preferred Qualifications: NVQ level 2/3 Fenestration installation or equivalent
Additional qualifications sought after: IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, First Aid.
Further specialist training will be offered as required.
Person specification:
• General practical skills and good basic education
• Strong communication skills, well presented
• Full clean driving licence
• Physically fit as role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting
• Punctual and flexible (regular early morning starts depending on work location)
• Willingness to travel within central London and M25
• Ability to use smart phone and produce digital reports (training provided)
• Happy to work as part of team – minimal solo working
• Willing to undertake DBS check due to some work settings (schools etc)
Employees regularly work within high end residential properties as well as commercial and education settings; therefore, good presentation and communication skills are essential.
The role
• Surveying, servicing, maintenance & repairs, of windows, doors & curtain walling
• Some basic installation work although this is a small percentage of the role
• Completing digital reports, to include illustrations, comments, identification of remedial actions and required parts
• To work effectively as part of a team, adhering to company standards, policies and procedures
