Summary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Supported Living Services team in Swansea.

In this rewarding role, you’ll help adults with complex health needs live more independently, ensuring every day is meaningful and fulfilling.

What we offer:

• A 10 month temporary, 26 hour part time position
• A 30 hour permanent position

Our service runs 24/7, so flexibility is key. Shifts include:

• Day shifts: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Waking night shifts: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am (enhanced rates apply)

** Due to the needs of the individuals in this service a full manual UK Driving Licence is required.

About the role



In this role, you’ll be supporting four fantastic individuals with learning disabilities, helping them lead active, fulfilling lives. Each person we support has access to their own vehicle to promote independence, so a full UK driving licence is essential.



The individuals you’ll support love getting out and about, whether it’s day trips, scenic beach walks, strolls around the local area, or meals out. If you enjoy being active and making a real difference in people’s lives, this could be the perfect role for you!



What You’ll Be Doing:



As a Support Worker, you’ll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day support, including:



Administering medication
Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
Laundry and household cleaning
Accompanying on shopping trips and running errands
Supporting relationships with friends, family, and the local community
Taking part in leisure activities, such as swimming, cinema trips, and days out
Advocating for their needs, preferences, and choices
Providing personal care, with dignity and respect
Assisting with manual handling as required
Providing digital (computer-based) administrative support as a key worker

Experience in care with a knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support

Pay and Pensions

£24,531 FTE or £12.75 per hour
Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift
Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
Pension Choices:
Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or,
Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.

Time off and Flexibility

26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave.
Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks
Paternity Leave: 3 weeks
