Summary

About Dimensions

At Dimensions, we pride ourselves on being one of the UK's leading not-for-profit providers of support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our purpose is simple: to create better lives for the people we support and for our colleagues. As part of our team, you'll join a workplace built around respect, inclusion, career growth, and the genuine ability to make a real difference every single day.

About the role

- Support Worker

- Full time and Part time contracts considered.

- Up to £1,000 welcome bonus (pro-rota)

- Full UK driving licence and own car essential.

You will be supporting four adults, three women and one man, aged between 30 and their mid-40s, who live together in a busy home in Harston. Each person we support has learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress and those with complex health needs and they rely on their support team for support with daily living. This includes personal care, PEG feeding, medication administration, and mobility support.

Life in this home is active, structured, and extremely rewarding. The people we support love getting out and about, and you will actively take part in their interests with them. Swimming is a big part of their weekly routine, so you must be comfortable getting into the water. They also enjoy bowling, art therapy, cinema trips, gym sessions, meals out, video calls with family, Thursday community centre groups, and regular social events. Holidays have included cottage breaks and there is interest in future trips abroad. Some individuals also attend private physiotherapy sessions that you will support them to participate in.

This is a role where teamwork really matters. Because support needs are high, colleagues depend on one another throughout each shift, communicating clearly and working in a consistent and professional way.

About you

Prior experience in social care, particularly in learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs, or behaviours of distress is essential due to the level of support required. While full training will be provided, you do need a solid understanding of what it means to deliver high-quality, regulated support.

You will be a compassionate, resilient Support Worker who is:

- Confident with personal care, delegated nursing tasks, and PEG feeding (full training provided).

- A strong team player.

- Patient, consistent, and calm under pressure.

- Able to work in a highly regulated, professional environment.

- A confident driver with a full UK manual licence and your own vehicle (location is not accessible by public transport).

We welcome applicants from other sectors where transferable skills are strong as long as you fully understand the high level of support required.

Rewards that make a difference

- A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work.

- £1,000 welcome bonus (terms apply)

- 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata).

- Opportunities for career progression.

- We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.

- High Street Discounts - Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
