This role is ideal for academically strong graduates who want to develop their classroom practice before progressing into teacher training.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and pastoral teams to support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students reach their academic potential.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support in core subjects.
• Supporting classroom learning in English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and organisation.
• Delivering targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
• Supporting students with additional learning needs and EHCPs where required.
• Monitoring student progress and contributing to assessment and feedback.
This role offers exceptional preparation for PGCE, Schools Direct, and salaried teacher training routes.
Person Specification
