As a Handy Person with Sodexo, you'll enhance the services of our vibrant corporate site, offering a helping hand to ensure flawless facilities operations and keep things running smoothly.
What you'll do:
- Carry out routine planned maintenance tasks as instructed.
- Respond to a range of reactive maintenance requests, ensuring work is completed promptly and safely.
- Conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities and follow safe working practices at all times.
- Build strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and wider stakeholders.
- Maintain a clear awareness of cost, waste, and the sustainability impact of your work.
- Keep tools, equipment and PPE in good operating condition, reporting defects where necessary.
- Accurately record time spent, materials used and details of completed work to support efficient service delivery.
- Understand and follow Helpdesk procedures and workflow processes.
- Complete all required training and competency assessments.
What you'll bring:
- Practical technical skills, with a working understanding of basic engineering principles.
- Experience working independently in a technical or maintenance environment.
- A strong safety mindset, with experience following safe systems of work, risk assessments and Health & Safety procedures.
- Good organisation and self‑management, including the ability to plan your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with customers, team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with maintenance processes, including Helpdesk workflows and task completion requirements.
- A proactive, problem‑solving attitude, with resilience and a focus on delivering high‑quality work.
