An established manufacturing organisation in Worcester is seeking a proactive and motivated Maintenance Team Leader to support and guide its on-site maintenance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership role or further develop their supervisory skills within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Team Leader:
As the Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the continuous running of machinery, equipment, and facilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Coordination
• Supervising and supporting a Maintenance Engineer and an Apprentice.
• Allocating and prioritising maintenance tasks based on production demands.
• Acting as the main point of contact for maintenance in the Maintenance Manager’s absence.
Maintenance Delivery
• Performing PPM and reactive repairs on a variety of production equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions.
Communication & Collaboration
• Liaising closely with production supervisors to align maintenance activities with operational priorities.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, breakdowns and repairs.
• Supporting improvement projects and ongoing maintenance strategies.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Technical Skills
• HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3+ in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with industrial machinery, ideally including PLCs, CNC equipment, microelectronics, and automation systems.
• Understanding of electrical safety supervision.
• Competence with machine tools, measurement devices, and basic MS Office/Excel.

Working Conditions
