Summary

Vacancy - Lockwood Parish is looking to appoint a Parish Warden

Lockwood Parish Council is a rural Parish encompassing the villages and hamlets of Aysdalegate, Boosbeck, Charltons, Gerrick, Kilton, Kilton Thorpe, Lingdale, Margrove Park, Moorsholm, Slapewath and Stanghow. It is based in Lingdale.

The Warden is responsible for implementing the decisions of the Parish Council in respect to the maintenance and enhancement of the environment, allotments and assets of the Council. The Clerk is responsible for managing the day-to-day duties of the Warden.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and self motivated individuals who can work independently and flexibly with a strong community focus. The successful applicant will have a range of skills covering general building and grounds maintenance, grass cutting, garden clearance and allotment management.


Lockwood Parish Council is a local authority and offers favourable employee and pension terms and conditions. The working hours for the post are 12 hours per week across 3 days. Salary SCP 7 £26,403 pro rata at £13.69 per hour. All appropriate training is paid for by the Council.
