Our company Severn Partnership is a land and engineering surveying company delivering high-quality geospatial data to clients across the infrastructure, rail, energy, and construction sectors and are now looking for a Junior Engineering Surveyor for one of our projects in Norwich.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
You will support the delivery of accurate survey data for infrastructure and construction projects across the UK. Working under the guidance of experienced surveyors and project managers, you will assist with site surveys, setting-out, and data processing while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in carrying out engineering and topographical surveys using total stations (Leica & Trimble), digital levels, GNSS equipment, and laser scanning systems.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of site control networks and benchmarks.
• Assist with setting-out works for civil engineering, rail, and construction projects.
• Help ensure surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Support the processing and checking of survey data using industry-standard software such as AIC N4ce, AutoCAD, and Leica Infinity.
• Assist in producing accurate drawings, reports, and survey deliverables in line with project and client requirements.
• Work closely with senior surveyors, site engineers, and project teams to ensure survey requirements are met.
• Adhere to company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Support continuous improvement by learning best practice survey methods and techniques.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
• Some experience or practical exposure to land or engineering surveying.
• Basic knowledge of modern survey equipment (Leica and/or Trimble preferred).
• Willingness to learn survey control, setting-out, and data processing techniques.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards.
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain.
