Summary
We value a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community wishing to join a workforce which embraces difference and welcomes everyone.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Framework Support Officer (FSO) to join our Commercial and Framework Management team. This role underpins the smooth operation of our commercial frameworks, which support delivery of vital flood and coastal risk management projects.
As an FSO, you will work with colleagues and framework delivery partners to maintain accurate commercial documents, data, and performance information. You will ensure our systems, trackers, and records are kept up to date, supporting effective reporting and helping the team make well informed decisions. Strong attention to detail is essential, as you will support the management of key framework information such as risk and issue logs, configuration registers, supplier performance data, and controlled documents.
You will administer and maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring documents are accessible, well organised, and quality assured. The role also includes supporting governance meetings through scheduling, preparing materials, capturing minutes, and contributing to internal communications such as the Framework Heads Up.
The FSO will support efficient processing of commercial information, ensuring data is accurate and that CVs and rate reviews progress smoothly through established systems. You will also help embed new initiatives and improvements across the team and with partner organisations.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail focused, collaborative, and interested in developing skills in commercial operations.
Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when the need to respond arises Having an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and an active way to support communities and prevent harm to the environment. Further information on incident response can be found within your candidate pack.

Experience/skills required
• GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent
• Relevant administrative or office-based experience (e.g. project admin, document control, business support, or data entry)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Familiarity with SharePoint, document management systems, or other digital collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams, Asite, Content Cloud)
• Ability to accurately analyse and interpret information is essential.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills, particularly in document management and scheduling
• A strong communicator (verbal and written) with effective interpersonal and influencing skills
• A problem-solving mindset: Developing solutions to issues and problems through identifying relevant information, careful interpretation, analysis, diagnosis and influencing.
• Willingness to undertake relevant internal training and development to build understanding of frameworks, systems, and governance
• Interest in developing knowledge of public sector projects, commercial processes, or framework operations
