Summary
Job OverviewAs a Mobilisation Manager, you'll play a critical role in setting new contracts up for success, leading mobilisations across our portfolio.
Sitting within our UK Mobilisation Team, you'll oversee complex business services projects from contract award through to operational handover. Your focus will be on delivery excellence: ensuring mobilisations are completed on time, within budget, and with risk tightly controlled from day one.
This is a role for someone who can confidently manage detail and direction — balancing governance, stakeholders, and delivery while keeping sight of the bigger picture. You'll thrive under pressure, build strong relationships quickly, and bring calm, clarity and structure to fast-moving environments.
Why You'll Love This RoleThis is a chance to sit right at the heart of growth. As a Mobilisation Manager, you'll lead high-profile mobilisations across IFM and Central Government contracts, shaping how new services launch and setting teams up for long-term success from day one.
You'll enjoy real ownership, autonomy and variety — no two mobilisations are the same. One week you could be building mobilisation plans for a complex multi-service contract; the next, partnering with senior stakeholders to land a seamless transition into operations.
If you're someone who thrives on pace, problem-solving and making things happen — while working in a collaborative, supportive team — this role gives you the platform to make a visible impact across the business, without losing sight of quality, governance or people.
Main Duties
-Lead the end-to-end mobilisation of new contracts, from contract award through to steady-state handover
-Develop, maintain and manage detailed mobilisation plans, ensuring all tasks, milestones and dependencies are delivered on time and within budget
-Identify, manage and mitigate mobilisation risks, issues and change impacts, escalating where required to protect service delivery and client outcomes
-Act as the central point of coordination between internal teams, operational leaders, suppliers and clients during mobilisation phases
-Ensure all mobilisation activity is fully aligned with Mitie standards, governance, policies and contractual requirements
-Drive high levels of customer service throughout mobilisation, building strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders
-Embed health & safety, compliance and information security requirements into mobilisation plans and delivery
-Monitor progress against agreed plans, providing clear, accurate reporting and updates to senior stakeholders
-Support operational teams through transition, ensuring a smooth and controlled handover into business-as-usual operations

Essential
-Proven experience delivering complex mobilisations, transitions or large-scale change projects within an operational environment

-Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain control in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
-Demonstrable leadership skills, with the confidence to lead virtual and cross-functional teams without direct authority
-Strong customer focus, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes and building trusted client relationships
-Sound understanding of health & safety requirements and the importance of compliance and governance within mobilisation activity
-Comfortable working independently in a home-based role, with the flexibility to travel across the UK as required
Desirable
