Administration Assistant – Mid Sussex Division, Modality Partnership

This is an exciting opportunity to provide a comprehensive, high-quality administrative service supporting service delivery across the division, working collaboratively with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of services across Judges Close and Ship Street Surgeries, contributing to continuous improvements in primary care and patient outcomes.

Main Duties of the Role

This is a varied, non-patient-facing role providing essential back-office support to Modality practices. Responsibilities include prioritising workloads, processing documentation accurately and within required timeframes, and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.
You will organise and support meetings, prepare and track medical and insurance reports, manage safeguarding and registration requests (including GP2GP workflows), and support call-and-recall activity, test results, immunisations, and cytology administration. The role requires flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard in line with procedures and service requirements.

Person Specification
Knowledge
• MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and other relevant systems
• Medical terminology and NHS systems (desirable)
• Experience in NHS General Practice (desirable)

• Strong customer service focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Accurate typing and data processing
• Effective organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to follow policies and procedures

• Based at Judges Close or Ship Street; car driver preferred for cross-site cover
