Summary

We’re looking for two General Cleaners with the practical skills and eye for detail to keep Lanhydrock in excellent condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.

Salary: £12.25 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ working patterns: One role is for 462 hours (4 morning a week 8-11, Thursday - Sat) & one role is for 369 hours (3 mornings a week 8-11, Sunday-Tuesday).
Both during the open season 1 March- 1st weekend in November

What it's like to work here
The Lanhydrock estate comprises a grade 1 listed mansion set in a 25 acre garden and surrounded by 910 acres of countryside. The property is presented today at its late Victorian zenith when it was the home of Thomas, 2nd Lord Robartes, his wife Mary and their large family who were looked after by a staff of 80. The property offers a fascinating insight into the workings of a country estate, both above and below stairs.

The property welcomes around 500,000 visitors a year to its wider estate and 40,000 users to the trails.

What you'll be doing
You’ll be helping with the day-to-day cleaning and presentation of the National Trust’s historic Mansion and visitor route.

You’ll have a keen eye for detail and working with the Collection and House Team ensure the highest of standards in presentation are met for our visitors.
