Summary
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to uniting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. We're working towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis (CF) by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
This is a new role in the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships (PCP) team to help achieve its plans for income growth. You will sit within a thriving trusts team and will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of high value trusts aiming to raise five and six figure grants in line with agreed income targets.
You will seek and develop strong partnerships with funders, growing income from mid to high value charitable trusts and foundations to support our strategic aims. You will also work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation to package up different areas of the Trust’s work into compelling proposals that meet funders’ objectives. This role will help to grow income for a wide range of revenue projects and programmes to support people with cystic fibrosis including large-scale innovative research projects.
To be the right person for this role, you will:
- Have a proven track record of securing medium to high value donations / grants (5 – 6 figures)
- Be able to build and successfully manage funder relationships
- Have experience in translating internal project descriptions into compelling cases for support and proposals
- Have a good understanding of the legal, financial and ethical issues related to trusts and grants fundraising
- Be able to effectively use fundraising databases to inform fundraising success
We offer a range of benefits including flexible working, 30 days annual leave plus recognised bank holidays (this will be pro-rata for part time staff), contributory pension scheme, healthcare cash plan covering dental, optical, 24/7 GP service, employee assistance programme and opportunities for learning and development.
This is a UK based role and offers a flexible location; however, if London office-based, a minimum of 40% working hours per week in the office is required. If home-based (within the UK), occasional travel to London office will be required in line with business needs.
