Summary
We’re looking for a Service Assistant to join us at Springhill to help welcome our visitors to the property and share the stories of the house, collections and the people who both lived and worked here.
Salary: £12.25 per hour
Contracted/duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31-Oct-2026
Hours/Working pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. With shifts offered based on your availability, and regular weekend working. March - October
The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

The Visitor Experience Team works closely with colleagues across the property to shape the quality and content of our visitor offer. As a Service Assistant you will bring the history of Springhill to life through confident storytelling.
What you'll be doing
You will deliver up to 5 tours each day, adapting your style to suit different and diverse audiences, ensuring our visitors have an enjoyable and memorable experience. You will join and learn from a team of experienced Service Assistants, supporting with the day-to-day operations, from preparing spaces for tours to helping visitors find their way around the site.
