About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to provide personalised support that enables pupils with complex needs to thrive. You’ll assist with lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where every pupil can achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored learning support to individual pupils and small groups
Assist with classroom preparation and lesson delivery
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Monitor and report pupil progress to inform planning and review
Promote safeguarding and ensure pupil welfare at all times
About You
You will have:
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
Motivation to support pupils’ academic, social, and personal development
Experience in SEN or ASC settings is desirable but not essential
