Location: Lifford House, Birmingham
Hours: 36.5 per week
About the Client
Birmingham Children’s Trust is committed to delivering high‑quality, child‑centred services across the city. They value compassion, resilience, and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children of all ages.
The Role

Visit children placed across the city and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
Transport children safely to and from family time, appointments, and other agreed activities.
Supervise contact between children and their parents/family members.
Support Social Workers with information gathering and practical tasks as part of ongoing casework.
Participate in the duty/back‑up duty rota (approximately once per week), remaining available for calls and responding to unforeseen situations where required.
Work flexibly, with some days extending beyond 5.30–6pm depending on transport needs.
Candidate Requirements
A full and clean driving licence including the PCV element (Essential).
A good standard of general education with strong applied literacy and numeracy skills (Essential).
Experience working with children, young people, or families in a support capacity.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently across the city.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children of all ages.
Resilience, reliability, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.
Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional later finishes.
