Summary

Weandrsquo;reandnbsp;looking for a confident, motivated and committed Energy Efficiency andamp; Retrofit Support Officer to help residents and local businesses upgrade and future-proof the energy performance of their homes and buildings.andnbsp;



Youandrsquo;llandnbsp;play a key role in supporting Sunderland City Councils regeneration and sustainability plans and associated Local Authority-led retrofit programmes.



Youandrsquo;llandnbsp;be guiding households and businesses through their retrofit options and providing administrative and funding compliance processes for Local Authority-led retrofit programmes.

Whatandnbsp;Youandrsquo;llandnbsp;Be Doingandnbsp;

Providing guidance to residents and businesses on energy efficiency measures retrofit options, and Local Authority-led grant schemes.andnbsp;
Providing administrative support for the delivery of local retrofit programmesandnbsp;maintainingandnbsp;detailed andandnbsp;accurateandnbsp;records,andnbsp;monitoringandnbsp;progress, and contributing to project reporting requirements.andnbsp;
Coordinating project milestones such as site visits and partner meetings and grant funding offers.andnbsp;
Helping residents and businesses navigate theandnbsp;end to endandnbsp;retrofit journeyandmdash;fromandnbsp;initialandnbsp;enquiry to installation and aftercare.andnbsp;
Working closely with internal teams, external partners, businesses, installers, and community organisations to ensure smooth programme delivery.andnbsp;
Promoting energy efficiency initiatives through community/business events, outreach sessions, and digital channels.andnbsp;
Ensuring all advice and activitiesandnbsp;comply withandnbsp;relevant regulations, standards, and safeguarding requirements.andnbsp;

About Youandnbsp;

Weandrsquo;reandnbsp;looking for someone who brings a mix of technical understanding, strong administrative and people skills. You should also be comfortable learning about retrofit measures and explaining them in a clear, friendly way.andnbsp;



You will haveandnbsp;


Level 2 qualification and ongoing commitment to work-towards Retrofit Assessor practitioner level including CPDandnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;
Aandnbsp;keenandnbsp;interest in energy efficiency, the principles of retrofit andandnbsp;low carbonandnbsp;technologies.andnbsp;
Experience in aandnbsp;customer facing, advisory and administrative support role.andnbsp;
Strong communicationandnbsp;skills and the ability to build trust with residents and businessesandnbsp;
Good organisational skills and the ability to administrate project processes for multiple applications.andnbsp;
A proactive,andnbsp;solution-focusedandnbsp;approach and a commitment to deliveringandnbsp;high qualityandnbsp;service.andnbsp;
Confidence working with data, digital tools, and reporting systems.andnbsp;
